Family & Systemic Constellations

Sometimes we carry emotions, patterns or struggles that do not fully seem to belong to us alone.
Family and systemic constellations help uncover the deeper dynamics that may be influencing our wellbeing, relationships, choices and sense of direction in life.

By bringing unconscious patterns into awareness, space is created for insight, movement and healing.

Family constellations focus on family dynamics and generational patterns.

A systemic constellation works with the same principles as a family constellation, but looks beyond the family system alone. It explores the hidden dynamics within any system we are part of — such as relationships, work environments, money patterns, teams, health, life choices or inner conflicts.

What is a (Family) Constellation?

A family constellation is a practical method that helps uncover hidden patterns and dynamicsand unconscious patterns within a family system. Often, emotional struggles, recurring patterns, relationship challenges or feelings of being stuck can be connected to unresolved experiences that have been carried through generations.

During a constellation session, people or objects are used to represent family members or important themes. By placing these representatives in space, underlying dynamics, relationships, and emotional patterns can become visible in a direct and tangible way.

What is usually invisible becomes visible. This creates space for insight, understanding and healing. By acknowledging what has been unseen or unspoken within the (family) system, a new movement can emerge — bringing more clarity, connection and inner peace.

(Family) constellations are not about blame or analysing the past. A constellation helps bring hidden patterns and dynamics into awareness, creating space for clarity, movement and change.

What can be explored in a constellation?

Although family constellations often focus on family relationships and generational patterns, many other themes can also be explored within a constellation.

Examples of themes that can be explored include:

• family and relationship dynamics

• recurring emotional patterns

• symptoms or physical complaints

• burnout, stress or exhaustion

• work and career challenges

• business or organisational themes

• money and abundance

• visibility and success

• fertility or motherhood

• grief and loss

• inner conflict or self-sabotage

• life purpose and direction

A symptom constellation, for example, explores the deeper layer behind physical or emotional symptoms. A money constellation can bring insight into unconscious beliefs, family patterns or dynamics connected to receiving, abundance and self-worth.

You do not need to know exactly what the issue is before entering a constellation. Often, the deeper layer reveals itself during the process.

Why do a (Family) Constellation?

Sometimes we try to solve things only through the mind, while the root of the issue lies deeper within the family system. A constellation can offer a different perspective and help bring awareness to unconscious loyalties, inherited patterns and emotional entanglements.

People often experience:

more inner calm and clarity

greater understanding of themselves and their family

emotional release

healthier relationships

feeling more grounded and connected

a renewed sense of direction and flow in life

A constellation does not “fix” you. Instead, it helps you reconnect with what naturally wants to move towards balance and healing.

How does a Family Constellation work in practice?

A family constellation starts with a question, theme or situation you would like to explore. This can be something specific, such as relationship challenges, recurring patterns or feeling stuck, but it can also be a feeling you cannot fully explain.

In a group setting, other participants are invited to represent people or elements within your system. These representatives are placed intuitively in the space and often begin to reflect underlying dynamics and emotions connected to the family system. This process can bring surprising insight, clarity and recognition.

In a 1-on-1 session, we work with objects, floor markers or other forms of representation instead of group representatives. The process is quieter and more personal, but works from the same principles.

As the constellation unfolds, hidden patterns, loyalties or imbalances may become visible. Through gentle guidance and observation, space is created for new movement, understanding and a different experience within the system.

Every constellation is unique. Sometimes the experience is deeply emotional, sometimes subtle and quiet. Often, insight and shifts continue to unfold in the days or weeks afterwards.

Group vs 1-on-1 Constellations

Constellations can take place in a group setting or in a private 1-on-1 session.

Group Constellations

In a group constellation, participants represent elements or people within the system. This often creates a powerful and deeply moving experience, as the group field can reveal dynamics in a very clear and embodied way.

Group constellations also offer recognition and connection, as many themes we carry are deeply human and shared.

1-on-1 Constellations

In a private session, we work individually using objects, floor markers or other methods to represent the system. A 1-on-1 constellation offers a more personal and intimate setting and can feel safer for those who prefer privacy or individual guidance.

Both forms are equally valuable and effective. The choice depends on what feels most supportive and comfortable for you at this moment.

If you feel curious about exploring your own patterns, relationships or inner dynamics, you are warmly welcome to book a session or join a group constellation.
