Why Somatic Work?

Trauma is not just something that happened.
It’s what still lives in your body, your breath, your nervous system.

Whether it stems from a major event or subtle ongoing stress, unprocessed trauma creates tension, emotional blockages, and physical complaints. Your body holds what the mind can’t.
But it also knows how to let go — when given the right space.

What is Trauma?

When something overwhelming happens, your body activates its natural survival responses — fight, flight, or freeze. If this energy has no safe way to complete, it stays stuck in your nervous system as unfinished emotion.

Over time, this can show up as tension, anxiety, burnout, or physical pain. You may feel disconnected, on edge, or unable to fully relax — even if the event is long past.

The good news: trauma is not a life sentence.
Your body knows how to complete these unfinished responses — gently, safely, and naturally — when given the right space.
